Week 5

Although the sun may not have shone as brightly as last week, we have had a glorious week full of fun and games.

The children were captivated by the story 'The Shapes All Around'. They were quick to notice that houses, ponds, and even boats have shapes in them. The children then enjoyed making their own pictures using shapes. They crafted boats, rockets, and much more. This activity was not just fun, but also a valuable lesson in discovering the hidden shapes in our world.

As we approach our last weeks in school, the children have been consolidating their knowledge of numbers, shapes, and rhyme. We have been doing this through fun and exciting games such as playing Bingo, number bingo, and matching the rhyming object.

At story time, the children were delighted to listen to the Jill Murphy collection - 'A Quiet Night In', 'Five Minutes Peace' and 'Mr large in Charge'. Their enjoyment was evident, and it was a joy to see them so engaged.
