Week 2

This week we have been focusing on recognising 2D shapes. We went looking for a rectangle shaped objects around our nursery earlier in the week and we took part in a shape sorting activity where we had to differentiate between all of the 2D shapes we have learnt about. On Friday, we went on a shape hunt in the garden. The children found lots of objects that were circles, squares, rectangles and triangles. In phonics, we have been focusing on our rhyming. We played a game of rhyming bingo and the children have been making rhyming chains with the rhyming cards.
